Age : 15-24 Yrs
Fees: An only POSTAL ORDER of Rs.100/- payable to Sr.DFM –
Mumbai Central (W.R.) as processing fee which is not refundable is to be
enclosed with the application form. Remittance of fee in any other forty will
not be accepted. No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/PHNVomen candidates.
Mode of Selection:Selection of the eligible candidates for
imparting training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 will be based on the
merit list which would be prepared taking average of the percentage marks
obtained by th, candidates in both matriculation [ with minimum 50% (aggregate)
marks and ITI examination givinu equal weightage to both. There will be no
written test or viva.

About Indian railway
Western Railway in
its present form came into existence on 5th November, 1951 by the
merger of its forerunner, the erstwhile Bombay, Baroda and Central India
Railway (BB&CI),with other State Railways viz, Saurashtra,
Rajputana and Jaipur. The BB&CI Railway was itself inaugurated in
1855, starting with the construction of a 29 mile broad gauge track from
Ankleshwar to Utran in Gujarat state on the West Coast. In 1864, the
railway was extended up to Mumbai.
