New Delhi: The tall and talented Deepika Padukone will be seen with ‘Piku’ co-star Irrfan Khan soon in a film backed by Vishal Bharadwaj. The gangster drama is reportedly based on the ‘Femme Fatale’, a part of S Hussain Zaidi’s novel, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’.
According to BollywoodLife.com, Deepika will be playing the role of Don Rahima Khan alias Sapna Didi who made a plan to kill don Dawood Ibrahim to avenge the death of her husband. However, turned out that don got to know about her plans and killed her before she could execute the killing.
The yet-to-be-titled mafia drama will be helmed by Honey Trehan and will be produced by Vishal Bharadwaj. Attributing the report to the leading daily, BollywoodLife.com mentions that the release date of the Deepika-Irrfan starrer has been set as October 2, 2018.
