M.Sc. in Mathematics (PGMT)
Eligibility:
Honours Graduate (10+2+3) in Mathematics.

M.Sc. in Geography (PGGR)
Eligibility:
Honours Graduate (10+2+3) in Geography.

M.Sc. in Zoology (PGZO)
Eligibility:
Honours Graduate (10+2+3) in Zoology

Important Note: In these courses, seats are limited. The admission will be made strictly on the basis of merit and following the reservation policy of the Government of West Bengal and the University through counselling.

Courses Offered by School of Humanities
M.A. in Bengali (PGBG)
Eligibility:
Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University and have studied at least 300 marks in Bengali and passed successfully.

M.A. in English (PGEG)
Eligibility:
Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University and have studied at least 300 marks in English and passed successfully.

M.A. in English Language Teaching (PGELT)
Eligibility:
Graduate (10+2+3) with English/ Linguistics and have studied at least 300 marks in English/ Linguistics and passed successfully.

Courses Offered by School of Social Sciences
M.A. in History (PGHI)
Eligibility:
Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University and have studied at least 300 marks in History and passed successfully.

M.A. in Political Science (PGPS)
Eligibility:
Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University and have studied at least 300 marks in Political Science and passed successfully.

M.A. in Public Administration (PGPA)
Eligibility:
Graduate (10+2+3) with Public Administration / Political Science /Sociology / Economics and have studied at least 300 marks in Public Administration / Political Science / Sociology / Economics and passed successfully

Course Offered by School of Education
M.A. in Education (PGED)
Eligibility:
Graduate (10+2+3) with Education and have studied at least 300 marks in Education and passed successfully or Other Graduate (10+2+3) with B. Ed. / B. Ed. Special Education M.R./H.I./V.I.

Courses Offered by School of Professional Studies
M.Com. (PGCO)
Eligibility:
B.Com./BBA Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University

Master of Social Work (MSW) (PGSW)
Eligibility:
Graduate (10+2+3) with Sociology / Political Science / History /Public Administration / Economics / Anthropology and have studied at least 300 marks in any of the above mentioned subject and passed successfully/LLB/LLM.

Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS)
Eligibility:
Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) degree from a recognized University/ Other Graduate (10+2+3) with at least 300 marks of study in Library Science/ Library and Information Science/ Information Science.

Bachelor of Library & Information Science (BLIS)
Eligibility:
Graduate (10+2+3) with 45% in Honours Subjects for Honours Graduate, 50% in aggregate for Pass Graduates (10+2+3) having 3 subjects.

For In-service Candidates: Candidates having experience of working in a library or similar other Organizations in a substantive post, not below the category of clerical cadre in a Government organization or equivalent, for at least 3 years may be exempted from the requirement of minimum marks at the graduation level (10+2+3) for admission. Such candidates will have to submit No-objection certificate and a certificate stating the last pay drawn from his/her employer.

Important dates:

  • Online Admission System will be Available for the Applicants: 18th September 2019 (10.00 AM) to 11th November, 2019 (10.00 PM).
  • Verification and Endorsement of Application Form from Study Centers: 21st September to 10th November, 2019.
  • Online fees collection: 18th September 2019 to 13th November, 2019.
  • Offline fees collection through Bank Challan: 23rd September to 13th November, 2019.
  • Final submission of Application Form to the Study Centers after payment of Fees: 23rd September 2019 to 17th November, 2019.

Note: Merit list and other information regarding counselling for admission to PGGR and PGZO will be notified by the University in the official website (www.wbnsou.ac.in) and in admission website(pg.wbnsouadmissions.com) tentatively on 15th November 2019.
